Massage for fertility, pregnancy and postnatal.
I have been working with pregnant women for over 15 years and I learn more from them and am inspired by them daily. I aim to help pregnant women to feel comfortable and relaxed in pregnancy and to connect to their growing baby. I work with couples to help them to find ways to support each other during pregnancy and labour. My massage helps to ease aches and pains common in pregnancy. and provides space for sharing questions and anxieties. Women feel cared for and soothed through the massage, and resourced for their labour.
Postnatal massage is important for replenishing the energy spent during labour and in caring for a new born. I hope to reassure women and to allow them time to relax and recuperate. The postanatal period can be a challenging time, and I provide a safe and comforting space for women to express themselves or debrief their labour. The massage soothes tired muscles and brings strength and resilience.
I offer Closing the Bones ceremonies too - these ceremonies which include some massage and rocking and wrapping the pelvis in cloth originated in Equador and have been gifted to us in the West. The ceremonies honour the uterus from menstruation, pregnancy, postnatal to menopause and beyond. Women often feel the ceremony helps them to cope with past traumas, to recognise closure as they move through their life, or to celebrate the joy their uterus has brought them,
I am a Birth Doula and a Postnatal Doula too, working with families to help them to have the most positive birth and postnatal times.

The focus of my work so far has led me down a route of massages that people can really feel making a difference during and after the massage session. Through focused work on relaxing the body the mind will follow and many clients feel deeply relaxed, calm and reinvigorated this is helpful to first time mothers as well as mothers who already have children. I also offer sessions where partners can be involved which can be very useful through pregnancy and during birth. Please see my website for more details or call for a chat about your individual requirements. Best wishes, Amy

Massage therapist and Fitness instructor working with women through life, specialising in pregnancy, postnatal and menopause. Working with women to gain strength and mobility by working with the posture, core strength and pelvic mobility. Using massage and movement to create a strong body
Working with women and families has always been my focus, initially starting out as a nurse and then a midwife for 12 years. For the past 16 years I have been supporting women and men in their muscluo-skeletal health through massage therapy and structural alignment. I have found touch to be a vital part in everyday health and especially during pregnancy and labour, it frees the body from stress and tension of muscular tightness which can cause misalignment in the skeletal system, as such good alignment assists with more efficient labour and delivery of the baby. Massage allows a restoration of body , mind and emotions, it encourages health and wholeness, and empowers the person to take an active part in their wellbeing. I teach 'massage for couple's' courses showing you how techniques can be helpful during labour. Every session, whether teaching or treatment, is tailor made for your needs and I travel to your home so you can continue resting after the treatment is finnished.

Pregnancy massage is a soothing and relaxing treatment. A side lying position is used to perform gentle massage movements to warm the muscles and induce a feeling of well being. This is followed by deeper movements to reduce areas of tension in the back, lower and upper legs and arms. The benefit of pregnancy massage includes a sense of nurturing, relaxation, boost to the immune system, release of tension, soreness and stiffness in the joints and aids digestion.

I 've been a qualified holistic massage practitioner since 1997 and trained with the wonderful Well Mother in Pregnancy and Postnatal massage in about 2004 which then led me to my doula work, so all my work is now maternity based. My massage treatments are a mix of oil based massage inc some reflexology and shiatsu techniques [using aromatherapy oils suitable for pregnancy or postnatal where appropriate] I love being able to ease some pregnancy related problems with deep tissue massage and shiatsu energy work for clients. I find the shiatsu really helpful and emotionally balancing and the oil massage is relaxing and nurturing on a more physical level. I'm based in North London and work from my home in Islington and at the Active birth Centre therapy clinic

Mind and Body Scotland is owned by Renee who provides Hypnotherapy, aspects of pregnancy, birth and early parenting support including hypnobirthing, pregnancy massage, Doula services and Brain Working Recursive Therapy. Renee began working as a Complimentary Therapist in 2003 after training as a Reiki Master and a Massage Therapist. Specialising in Antenatal Care and Parenting Renee became a Well Mother Practitioner 2007 and then trained with NCT graduating from the University of Bedfordshire as an Antenatal Teacher 2012. At the same time she completed her training and became a recognised Birth & Postnatal Doula with Doula UK and the Scottish Doula Network.
As her work progressed Renee recognised that Hypnosis would help many of her clients, i.e. those with phantom limb pain, those for whom massage was not appropriate e.g. clients with cancer and the mums that she had been supporting for a number of years with teaching breathing, positions for labour & birth and relaxations. The needs of her clients encouraged her to train in Clinical Hypnotherapy 2014 and to go further and specialise in Hypnobirthing 2014 & 2017, Weight Management & Eating Issues 2016 & most recently Psychosexual Dysfuction 2017 and Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT) 2017.
Currently Renee is a Mentor of newly trained Doulas for Doula UK and a lay member of the NHS Lothian MSLC.

“I spent two wonderful hours each week with Fen during my pregnancy, during which she treated me to a perfectly tailored session of massage, shiatsu and aromatherapy. Her treatments and magic touch helped me relax and work through the physical niggles of pregnancy, and become more in tune with my body as it changed. Our sessions also played a huge part in preparation for labour. The breathing techniques and body positioning work we did together were invaluable when the big day came. Fen has a warm, calm and open approach to her sessions which ensure that both body and mind get the care and attention they need. I can't recommend Fen's pregnancy massage highly enough!” Anne, Lecturer, Researcher and new mum!

Pregnancy massage gives you a wonderful experience of bonding and connection, helping you feel more in touch with yourself and with your baby. Its nurturing touch allows you to connect with your inner wisdom and strength. And it can help with some of more physical niggles you can get during pregnancy.
Post-natal massage is one of the best ways to help you to recover from being pregnant. On a physical level massage will help to restore your abdominal muscles, address pelvic floor toning, improve circulation and lymphatic flow and relieve back and shoulder aches.
Touch helps the recovery process after the birth. It can relieve stress and trauma, especially if your birth experience differed from your expectations.
Regina trained with Suzanne from Wellmother in pregnancy massage, massage during labour and post-natal massage.
