Web Site Terms and Conditions of Use

General

While it is our philosophy to encourage anyone we work with to connect to their inner wisdom, it is always important to be aware that part of listening to that wisdom is also to acknowledge the support of the western medical system: they are your primary care providers.

Any suggestions we make regarding shiatsu, massage, breathwork, movement and visualisations and so on, are always complementary to western medical care. We do not offer western medical diagnosis and it is important that you also communicate with your primary care provider. It is especially important in the maternity period, as some situations, thankfully rare, may be life threatening and western medicine is vital in these situations.

Wellmother is the registered company of Suzanne Yates. Please be aware that Wellmother teachers, apart from Suzanne, are working as independent teachers and practitioners, and will bring their own style to the work, even though they have been certified to teach Wellmother material. They are covered by their own insurance.

While we have a list of practitioners who have trained with Wellmother, they are integrating the Wellmother material into their work, and each person will work differently. They are independent practitioners and will be working with their own unique style and have their own insurance.

If you have any concerns about a teacher or practitioner listed on our site, please make us aware of them.

Conditions of joining courses

It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet any relevant conditions of entry for the course you are joining. This includes having relevant insurance and being in good health (if you are attending an in person course).

If you are at risk of carrying or have any contagious disease then you will not be able to attend our in person courses. We are happy to allow you to transfer to another course or for you to find someone to take your place. If it is possible, we will offer your place to another student and refund your money, minus a £35 admin fee.

During the course, you are expected to treat all the other course participants and the teacher with respect. If your behaviour is deemed to be inappropriate then we reserve the right to ask you to leave the course and forfeit your payment.

Our responsibilities to you are that we do our best to ensure that you have an enjoyable and relevant course experience, including any relevant assessments. We follow relevant Health and Safety procedures, Equal Opportunities and have a complaints procedure. We treat everyone with respect. If you are unhappy about anything, please advise the course tutor immediately. We aim to resolve any complaints quickly in a fair and reasonable way. This includes any issues with assessments.

Payments

All courses

Payments: we use a secure Third Party system (Stripe) to process payments. No details are held (see privacy policy)

In person courses

All payments are non-refundable but course transfer and, in some cases, course refund, may be allowed in certain situations. We are not however liable for any expenses incurred by the participant associated with joining the course.

Well Mother will refund fees if we have to cancel a course for reasons which are to some extent within our control (eg personal or business concerns)  and when we are not able to provide another option to attend the course.  We will negotiate this with you individually.

If we have to cancel a course for reasons beyond our control (eg natural disaster, war ) we will not usually refund fees, but instead offer an alternative course option for you as soon as we can. If this is not possible, then we will refund the course fees.

If your situation changes after booking the course, we will consider allowing you to transfer to another course if you give at least 6 weeks notice before the course begins. This involves a transfer fee of £35. Only one transfer is allowed.

We will also consider you allowing you to appoint someone else to take your place on the course, provided they fulfil our conditions of joining. The fee for this is £35.

If you give 6 weeks notice, and we find someone else to take your place, you will only be liable for the admin fee of £35.

It may be possible to allow you to transfer to another course at no cost and with less notice than 6 weeks in certain conditions (for eg infectious disease, death of immediate family member). You will need to apply individually for this to be considered.

When you sign up for the deposit, you are liable to pay the balance of fees by the deadline indicated.
