Specialist Perinatal support in and around Bristol including pregnancy and postnatal massage, massage for birth workshops, counselling, birth trauma therapy & Compassionate Hypnobirthing. Charity funding available for health care professional referrals and/or those with low income.
I have finished my training with Suzanne in 2004 and have been working with women for over 20 years offering Shiatsu, Shiatsu for pregnancy, Baby massage, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and more recently, Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor and bodyworker specialising in working with people suffering with known or unknown trauma (very common) issues as developmental trauma (widely common), complex trauma, transgenerational trauma, trauma caused by physical and/or sexual abuse. Experiencing trauma can be highly detrimental to one's daily life and some of the symptoms are anxiety, self-loathing, depression, low self-esteem, ADHD and OCD to name a few dis-eases. My work has a holistic and transpersonal touch to therapy, which sees problems or issues as an opportunity for self knowledge and growth.
I offer:
*Shiatsu (Therapeutic Bodywork)
*Biodynamic Cranioacral Therapy
*Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Psychosynthesis)
Shiatsu for Pregnancy and Baby Massage is not featured on my website however a session can be organised if it is requested.
I speak fluently Portuguese and Spanish.

Situated in the heart of Glastonbury, I offer therapeutic and restorative massage for all, I believe that every person should be able to benefit from the natural healing approach of massage, whether you need relaxation or treating back pain.
I specialise in Pregnancy massage for all trimesters, which allows me to work on the body in a side position, but this can also be adapted to where mother is most comfortable. I also work with the mother preparing towards the birth of her baby, giving advice, breathing techniques, and visualisations. Massage can be a wonderful bonding time for mother and baby to have time out of a busy life to focus and connect with herself and her growing baby. “If you are looking after yourself, you are also looking after your baby”
I also work with couples helping both mother and birth partner. Giving tips and techniques to help the birth partner be more supportive, showing them how to massage and energy points during labour.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks Sarah

I trained in shiatsu for pregnancy with Suzanne a few years ago and have since worked with many women supporting them through their journey through pregnancy and beyond. I have found it to be extremely rewarding working with women in pregnancy as it is obvious how beneficial any form of nurturing bodywork is for them during this transition. I am also a massage and nutritional therapist and yoga teacher and love to bring all of my skills and knowledge to a session. I find emotional support to be of particular importance and ensuring that the woman I'm working with feels totally comfortable and able to relax with me.

I tailor the massasge to your needs.
We can work on the couch in a sidelying position if that is comfortable for you, or we can exlore ways to seat you, leaning over the couch, or maybe even kneeling on the floor and over an excercise ball. Your comfort is my priority and we can try different ways until we find one that suits you. It may be that we try all of them over the 9 months!
If you are first time client, I'll get in touch before hand with a consulation form for you to fill in and return, this will help me to prepare for our first session together and talk about any special requirements you may have.
I look forward to bringing you some rest time when you need it most during your pregnancy.
